The Ice Barrel Chiller is a unit to chill water as a substitute for ice baths for athletes. Initial concepts were done in injection molded plastic for a variety of aesthetics and higher volume production. Later in the design process, metal-formed units were developed at a lower up-front cost as well as lower production quantity. Sample/competitive units were provided by Engineering as a guide to ensure the new product development can contain all the necessary components.
